According to psychologist Merete Wedell-Wedellsborg, crises follow a pattern:  emergency, regression and recovery.  Responding to the emergency can be energizing and productive, while the regression phase can be exhausting and without motivation before one arrives in the recovery phase.  This article outlines tips for not only getting through but leading your team through each phase.
