With one in five Canadians experiencing a mental health issue or illness every year, mental health is everyone’s issue. As an employer, you may already be doing things to help your employees, such as offering an Employee Assistance Plan, disability plan, or wellness plan. But employees need to know that these services are offered, and they need to feel comfortable enough to use them.

An estimated 322 million people worldwide live with depression, including more than 40 million Americans, and up to 56% do not seek treatment. Suicide is now the second leading cause of death for people between the ages of 15 and 24, and overdoses are the number one killer of Americans younger than 50.
