There has been a lot of discussion regarding generational differences and actions that can be taken to create an environment that supports everyone regardless of the “generation” they are part of. However, Leah Georges challenges the position that generational differences matter and suggests that instead the important focus is not on generational characteristics, but on humans. Perhaps it is best to “Pick a person, just one, and explore their onlyness. Figure out what they bring to work that no one else can bring to work, because that’s what makes work richer. Then do it again and do it again. Then someday, we’re not working with generations anymore. We’re working with people.”
