Employers also need to up their game when it comes to attracting talent.\u00a0 These days, it&#8217;s much more of a mutual interview process, similar to speed dating.\u00a0 There is now a need to deliver an &#8220;exceptional candidate experience that showcases the strength of their company\u2019s brand and culture&#8221;.\u00a0 If that doesn&#8217;t occur, expect to see a lot of desirable candidates accept job offers elsewhere, often with the competition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"embedly-card\" data-card-controls=\"1\" data-card-align=\"center\" data-card-theme=\"light\">\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hcamag.com\/ca\/specialization\/recruitment\/candidate-ghosting-on-the-rise-for-canadian-hr-leaders\/325741\">Candidate ghosting on the rise for Canadian HR leaders<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>But what&#8217;s causing this increase in ghosting? Well, according to the research, it all comes down to job spec confusions. Forty-three percent of candidates said that the job was simply not what they expected, 31% labelled the interview process as &#8216;poor&#8217;, 18% had a better offer, and eight percent said they weren&#8217;t onboard with the company&#8217;s &#8216;return to office&#8217; policy.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/cdn.embedly.com\/widgets\/platform.js\" charset=\"UTF-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s not just happening in the dating world!
